Split PDF
Extract a page range as a separate PDF
Split PDF: Only the Pages You Need
Need pages 12-18 of a 200-page report? Enter two numbers, extract.
When you only need a few pages of a huge PDF, sending the whole file is unnecessary and sometimes risky: just the signature page of a contract, one chapter of a book, the first page of an invoice... This tool shows the page count the moment you load your PDF; enter the start and end pages and that range becomes a separate PDF in seconds. The download is named after the original with the range appended (report-12-18.pdf) — no confusion about which piece is which. Like our other PDF tools, splitting runs entirely in your browser: your file is never uploaded to any server, safe even for confidential documents.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Splitting runs entirely on your device via the pdf-lib library in your browser; your PDF never touches the internet. Contracts and official documents are safe to split.
How do I extract a single page?
Enter the same page number in both fields — for example 5 and 5. The result is a one-page PDF containing just that page.
Can I extract multiple ranges at once?
Currently one range at a time; for multiple pieces just repeat — the file stays in memory, so you only enter a new range without re-selecting.
Does extraction reduce quality?
No — pages are copied one-to-one; text, images and vectors keep their original quality. No recompression happens.
Is the original file changed?
No. The tool never modifies the original; your chosen range is produced as a new file. The source PDF on your device stays untouched.
Can I use this to delete pages?
Indirectly, yes: extract the range you want to keep and the unwanted pages are left out. To drop the last 2 pages of a 20-page file, extract 1-18.
