QR Code Reader
Scan a QR code from an image or your camera
Free Online QR Code Reader
Scan from an image, a screenshot or your camera
The QR code reader decodes the content of a QR code from an image file, a screenshot or your camera. If it is a link you can open it with one tap; if it is text you can copy it; Wi-Fi, vCard, email and phone codes are recognised too. Decoding is done entirely in your browser with the open-source jsQR library, so the image or camera feed never leaves your device. Handy for photos in your gallery, QR codes received by email, or scanning a code on a computer screen with your phone. To create your own, use the QR code generator.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I scan a QR code without an app?
Choose an image or open the camera on this page; the browser decodes the code by itself, no app required.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Decoding runs in your browser with the jsQR library; the image and camera feed stay on your device.
Can I read a QR code from a screenshot?
Yes, upload the screenshot or paste it from the clipboard (Ctrl+V); you can also point your phone camera at a code on a screen.
Why does the camera not open?
The browser may have blocked camera access; allow it from the camera icon in the address bar. Camera access only works on HTTPS pages, which this is.
Is the decoded link safe?
The tool only shows the link; check the domain before opening it and be careful with codes from unknown sources.
