Remove Duplicate Lines & Sort
Clean up any list: unique lines, sorted the way you want
Remove Duplicate Lines and Sort Any List
Dedupe, alphabetize, reverse or shuffle — instantly in your browser
Paste a list – names, e-mail addresses, keywords, product codes or a column copied from Excel – and get a clean result instantly. Duplicate lines are removed while the first occurrence keeps its position, so the original order is preserved unless you choose to sort. Sorting is natural: “item 2” comes before “item 10”, and letters such as ç, ñ, ß or é are ordered correctly for your language. You can also sort by length, reverse the order or shuffle the lines randomly. Options let you ignore upper/lower case, trim leading and trailing spaces and drop empty lines, and the “Repeated lines” list shows which entries appeared more than once and how often. Copy the result, download it as a .txt file or feed it back as input for another pass. Everything runs locally; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I remove duplicate lines?
Paste your text with one item per line. With “Remove duplicate lines” on, every repeated line is removed and the first occurrence stays in place. The counter shows how many were removed.
Is the comparison case-sensitive?
By default “Apple” and “apple” are different lines. Turn on “Ignore upper/lower case” to treat them as duplicates; the first spelling is kept.
What is natural sorting?
Numbers inside text are compared by value, so “item 2” comes before “item 10”. Accented letters are sorted according to the rules of your language.
Can I merge two lists without duplicates?
Yes. Paste both lists one after the other and keep “Remove duplicate lines” on; the result contains every entry once.
Do spaces matter?
With “Trim spaces” on, leading and trailing spaces are removed before comparing, so “grape” and “grape ” count as the same line.
Is my text uploaded?
No. All processing happens in your browser; your list is saved only locally so it is still there next time.
